Black Women in Welsh Society
The history of Black women in Wales has received a renewed focus with the unveiling at Mount Stuart Primary in Butetown, Cardiff of the Betty Campbell statue. The first Black headteacher in Wales, she was awarded an MBE in 2003 for her services to education.
